Mrs. John Littlejohn
Mrs. John Littlejohn passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Mrs Randal Walker, on Friday March 6th, 1925 after a lingering illness.
The deceased was born in Port Hope, Ontario June 29, 1858 and was united in marriage to John Littlejohn in 1878. To this union was born five daughters and two sons. In 1887 she came with her husband and family to Glasston where they resided until 1905 when they moved to the Bowesmont neighborhood.
She was a devoted wife and mother and always a good neighbor. She was especially interested in the work of the church of which she was a consistent member. Rich in the Christian experience it was easy for her to close her eyes on the scenes of Earthly activities and to pass to the land where inhabitants are always in health.
A brief service was held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Randal Walker, after which the body was taken to the Methodist Episcopal Church in Glasston where a large audience of old friends and neighbors gathered with the relatives to pay tribute to her memory.
Dr. J. G. Moore of Grand Forks assisted by Rev. Hawk of St. Thomas officiating. The speakers paid a beautiful tribute to the deceased who's life was pure in purpose and purified by suffering.
Flowers and the quiet tributes of those who knew the deceased best told of a well lived life and a triumphant death.
He Giveth His Beloved Sleep.
