Death Of Mrs James H. Norgart

Mrs. James H. Norgart of Glasston, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Anna Pethick died in her 25th year at the hospital in Grafton on Thursday a.m, May 19, following a brief illness. She leaves a husband and four children, three boys and one girl. The funeral services were held at Glasston and were in charge of Rev. Hawk of St. Thomas, Rev Shelcross Presbyterian minister assisted by Rev. J. G. Moore of Grand Forks gave the funeral address which abounded in expressions of sympathy and moved the feelings of the large congregation of neighbors and friends. The speaker also paid a beautiful tribute to the deceased who leaves a memory fragrant with kindly deeds and loving devotion. The beautiful floral offerings and tender expressions and tributes of those who best knew Mrs. Norgart all combine in a sense of conscious loss to the home and the community. The husband, children and immediate family have the sympathy of the entire community.

Mrs. James Norgard

The funeral services for Mrs. James Norgard, who died at the Deconess hospital at Grafton last Monday from internal poisoning was held from the Methodist church at Glasston on Thursday May 21, the following ministers conducting the services, Rev. Hawk of St. Thomas, Dr. Moorse of Grand Forks, and Rev. Shelcross of Hamilton.
Mrs Norgard (nee Anna Pethick) was born September 10 at Glasston and was 24 years old at the time of her death. On July 29, 1918 she was married to James Norgard, of this union four children were born namely, Elwood 6 years, Muriel 5 years, Melville 8 years and Leo one year. She leaves to mourn her loss besides her husband and four children, her mother Mrs. J. Bales of Streeter, Ill, two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Haugen of Churchs Ferry, N.D. and Mrs. H. Bottenhagen of Chicgo, Ill. and two brothers John Pethick of Streeter, Ill. and William Pethick of Glasston, who all attended the funeral. Internment was in the Glasston cemetery.
